I'm not sure if cron is doing its thing or not. I have it setup in 'jobs' and on my host.

Anyway, the job has been running for days off and on and has only downloaded 5000 messages. How can I speed that up please?

FUDforum can process that number of messages in minutes. The bottleneck is probably your NNTP server.

How many messages should it download? Have you looked at the log files to see what's going on?

Yes, it appears to be working, just only getting maybe 20 articles every few seconds.

I think I messed up and set the host for a cron job, and a job in the administration portal. would that do it?
