In forums that are definitely not moderated, all users posts still require moderator approval.

Using FUDforum 3.0.1RC1

Am I missing something really obvious?

Perhaps! Check your user "user-land group manager" (Group Manager), as well as the "Admin Group Manager" control panel to ensure that there are no conflicts as to who can post and not and where.
FUDforum tries to intelligently resolve conflicts so it is apparently reading something that says these posts must be moderated or requires approval because of a conflict.

It's a bug in the RC1 release. It was mostly fixed in the final version.

Suggested workaround: Upgrade to 3.0.1 and apply patch http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/fudforum/changeset/4956

I'm experiencing this now on a newly installed forum.

Version 3.0.1 with the above referenced patch installed.

All posts from confirmed accounts still go to the moderation queue even if moderation is turned off everywhere.

Ideas? Anything I can do/information I can provide that would help?
