In /theme/default/registration.php, I changed the title of one of the fields, "Alias" to "Real Name"

<tr class="RowStyleA"><td>Real Name:'.draw_err('reg_alias').'<br /><span class="SmallText">Real names are required to post in this forum.  Please enter your first and last names here.</span></td>

It keeps reverting itself. I think that may be after every time I hit "Rebuild" theme. Should I be doing something else?

Also, when removing the "Name" field, the registration form will not work. Where is the code that checks for an entry there? If I were to remove that, then would I be able to remove the "Name" field as well?

I believe you need the TMPL file in FUDforum/thm/default/register.tmpl

To keep it from being rewritten on rebuild.

Your request does bring up one issue: during registration there is a block for "Name" but on the Users profile/page it says "Real Name", there was some mention some time back about clarifying that guess it still needs finished!
