When Attempting to bulk upload Avatars, the path must be correct!
An incorrect path can and will upload every image as an avatar, that's forum icons, message icons, geo-Ip flags, mime, smiley's, favicon's, header images everything!!
Quote:Import Gallery
Recursively process specified directory, creating avatars from all files with (*.gif, *.jpg, *.png, *.jpeg) extensions.
A new gallery will be created for every encountered sub-directory.
Literally, I just added avatars to 3.0.3RC1 and didn't get the path right; every image in the image directory is now an avatar that has to be removed
This is very easy to do but not so easy to undo! If there is some way this could be prevented it would be a good thing!
I believe I put /home/user_name/domain.name/ in the import field instead of /home/user_name/domain.name/images/avatars I'd double check, but I'm pretty busy deleting Avatars.

I went back and checked, I had entered: /home/user_name/domain.name/images into the text field.
Since I normally replace the default FUDforum Avatars I tried it again on a fresh 3.0.3RC1 install and was still able to duplicate it.

naudefj wrote on Sun, 21 August 2011 14:03I've tried to reproduce this on a fresh 3.0.3RC1 install, but were unable to.
Are you sure this isn't a user/usage problem? If not, please compile a test case.
I'm working on it. Will send you admin login via e-mail here.
