I was able to use 2.6.2 without cookies enabled, however this is no longer the case in 2.6.3. The login succeeds, but the forum acts as though the user is a Guest.

I have the Enable URL Sessions option turned on.

As I wrote in another posting, I have also problems with the URL-sessions. Thanks for your fix. It works with 'normal' style URL but not with PATH_INFO. perhaps because after login the URL is like: 

forum/index.php?27a5a5fb41a28141e5288982a3845f69/?SQ=2971ceb4b66c587bfca7b9f5e8fb7a84

?

Did you rebuild the theme after applying the patch? I cannot replicate the problem on my development server...

What is the exact URL you are taken to after logging in?

Yes, I rebuild the theme and also checked the login.php in the www-folder, that the changes were succesfull.

Sorry, sill not working.
BTW: I just checked again after rebuild, if the modifications are made. I noticed that the login.php in the path-info-dir was not changed like the one in the default-directory. Is this ok?
I made the modifications manually in the file in the path-info-dir, but with so success.

Do you have more then 1 theme? If so make sure that you rebuild all themes not just the default one.

no, I have only the default PATH_INFO theme activated. But in the www-folder there are the theme folders 'default' and 'path-info'.
