We use 2.6.6 and have enabled Notify W/Body, so the message body and subject are include in an email notification.

If an image as attached, and the 'Insert image into message body' option is used to display an inline image in the forum posting, the generated email notification will just contain an URL fragment of the form

   index.php?t=getfile&id=612&private=0


In the trailer, the Attachment links are ok and usable. We haven't checked so far whether this is fixed in the newer versions of FUD.

The HTML e-mails sent by the forum include a base href tag, that specified the "root" url from which all partial urls should be based on. I suspect this component is missing in your version of the forum or not being parsed propertly by your e-mail client.
