I´ve installed FUDforum and mysql. The forum runs but when trying to register new members the forum loops back to the registerpage. So I do it all over again just to be redirected to the registerpage again.

What have I done wrong?

What version of PHP do you have?
Are file_uploads enabled in php's configuration?

You can find this setting inside your php.ini file, the exact setting name is called file_uploads. You can see the current value from the phpinfo() function output.

P.S. If you change the setting's value in php.ini be sure to restart your webserver.

file_uploads = On

So I guess it must be something else. I also found that I get a systemerror when trying to write a message. So my problem is now multiplied. A user cannot register or write messages.

I am 99% certain this is the file uploads related issue since both of the forms (register and message post) have file upload controls.

What is the system error message that you are seeing? Also, would it be possible to get admin access to the forum so that I can see the problem for myself and try various possible remedies to it.
