Now I am trying to install FUDforum2 on my isp's server, but they have it running in safe_mode. I read the archived messages where others have had to do this, donwloaded a install.php referenced in one of those older messages, but it won't work. The error is
Quote:

The directory you have specified (/home/virtual/site109/fst/var/www/html/) already exists and is not owned by the web server.

I tried creating the directory forum, chmod to 777, still no go. I tried sub-directories, even in the cgi-bin directory, just for the heck of it.
I ran the script
<?php
echo ini_get("open_basedir")."<br>\n";
?>
but it returned nothing but a blank window.
Nothing will work.
There is no info on this in the manual either.
Seems I read somewhere on the site it is possible to run it in safe_mode.
Is it possible for me to install this into safe_mode?
