It is with some joy that I see all the recent improvements to FUDforum most of which serve to make it far more user friendly, and accessible to those of us who have little background in neither computers nor easy access to the required expertise to understand it all.

It is a sad fact of life that Forum's by their very nature intended to enhance communication, themselves suffer from such a large communication gap between the Coders/Developers and the average user or wannabe admin. It's almost as though they speak a different language (which they kind of do).

Most of the improvements seem driven by naudefj, and my hat is off to them for their efforts even though it negates some of my own projects, and that is all good in my opinion, as it frees me and my time to read and learn more about FUDforum from people who know far more about it than I could hope.

Thanks for the links. It's not quite Wikipedia, but it is using the same software. If you know how to contribute to wikipedia, you will know how to maintain and enhance FUDforum's documentation.

Now, we just need someone to take this all and publish the first FUDforum book. Possible titles: "FUDforum, the definitive guide", "Building Online Communities with FUDforum" or even "Removing the FUD from FUDforum".

I would buy it!

I have tried a half dozen times to get a support contract but no response!And with just what I know couldn't do it justice.

But there would be more people who would use it if they had a reference.

With all the effort I've put into FUDforum lately, I hope I would at least get a free copy... Smile

Ilia is probably not accepting new contracts. I'm not sure how commercially viable it would be to do this anyway. People would expect the world for peanuts.

and I have been trying since 2006, I understand about people expecting too much for too little yet they still have it listed in the heading?

That's a joke right? It's best left to someone with English as first language.

As for the website, I can't change it. It either belongs to Ilia or the company he works for. I guess he will take it down when he gets fed-up with everyone bugging him about support.

You speak good English, and I sometimes wonder what pro host is all about. It don't seem to be a regular business.....

Oh well... I am about half way through the first sets of buttons 16 to a set in 16 colors!
