Hi,

I'm currently looking at taking control of two forums that have been used by online friends for a few years. The operating costs for the current owners are too high so I have been looking at taking ownership of them and replacing VB with FUD.

Now what I wanted to ask is.

Can you import the posts and members from VB to FUD?

any help you can give me on this will be very grateful.

We do have a VB converter that can move all users and posts over to FUDforum. The source code is available from our SVN repository.

The converter may need some dusting off. However, if you run into problems, you are welcome to post them here and we will try to help. Alternatively, if you prefer a hands-off approach, I can do the conversion for you for a small donation towards improving FUDforum.

We have a vBulletin v2 to FUDforum converter available at http://fudforum.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/fudforum/trunk/converters

My guess is it won't be too difficult to patch it up for VB3. Give it a go and let us know if you need some help.

I can fix it up, however, I don't have a vBulletin installation to test it on. Can you provide me with a complete dump of your forum (DB + files)?
