my forum: http://www.huntohio.net is not showing the widget. it's enabled and I've rebuilt the theme.

however, http://www.encoreclassifieds.com is working just fine (my other forum)

My guess it you're using a custom msg.tmpl.
If so, you need to add an {INJECTION_POINT: before_topic} and {INJECTION_POINT: after_topic} to it.

Speaking of INJECTION_POINT - Why don't we just re-use all the template names as injection points instead of creating new ones, that way the whole forum becomes alot more modular and you can more easily move around plugins to an exact location?

I guess we can just as well define empty template sections.

We already have a hook that can change template sections - it's called COMPILER_EXPAND_TEMPLATE.
