We're considering installing FUDforum, but unsure about the Tag Style option, which selects the HTML or BBcode (FUDcode) option. If our members write BBcode in their posts, does the BBcode automatically generate HTML? Or does the BBcode stay in the post?

If your users use BBcode to format their posts, you should choose BBcode. Internally the BBcode will be converted to HTML, and back to BBcode when the post is edited. Thus, your users will only see BBcode, but internally it gets stored and served-up as HTML.
