thx for quick fix - working fine

Anyhow its still not perfect, as only current page is sorted

I guess this is a thing applicable to all sorting, and I don´t know whether its feasible to sort all messages in any way.
The other thing is number of Messages visible - if this would be increased (ideally by a setting in Global Config) would be nice

Unable to reproduce. Sort ordering is in fact preserved as you page through your private messages.

You can change "Messages Per Page" in User Account Settings to see more messages / private messages per page.

I tought so, but in fact there is a difference between the 2 things. Usually I just want to see the last 20 or so messages in the forum, but - depending on volume - I would like to see 100 in the private messages box.

Well, its not a "must have" feature, just a bit of conveniance
