Hi Dear,
I've taken part translation rally on Translatewiki for my language (Tarandine). When Can I show the interface in my language? In "My profile" section there are several languages but I can't find the Tarandine.

I'm having trouble downloading your translation from translatewiki.
Have logged a request for support at http://translatewiki.net/wiki/Thread:Support/This_code_is_not_available_for _this_software.
I trust they will resolve it ASAP so we can upload it here.

Message from Siebrand:

"Because this is not a valid language code, and a legacy code in MediaWiki, it can not be translated for any product but MediaWiki and extensions."

Not sure what to do now?

the wiki code of Tarandine is roa-tara (more than 3 characters) it hasn't a valid ISO 639 code.

Just to confirm:

According to Wikipedia Tarantino is a dialect of Sicilian. Sicilian's language code is 'scn'. Can we maybe move all 'roa-tara' messages to 'scn'?

Dear,
the tarandine dialect is not sicilian derivation. A derivation of Sicilian language is leccese dialect (very different by Tarandine). I don't know which code we can assign but sicilian I think is wrong.

I've got the info from here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tarantino_dialect

"Tarantino (Italian: Dialetto tarantino, Tarantino: Dialètte tarandine), of the southeastern Italian region of Apulia, is a dialect of Southern Italian or Sicilian."

If tarandine is so different, shouldn't it have an official language code?

Dear,
from it.wikipedia:

http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dialetto_tarantino

and roa-tara.wikipedia:

http://roa-tara.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dialette_tarandine

Tarandine dialect is meridional dialect but hasn't got a depence from Sicilian.

I'm not sure what to do. The guys at translatewiki want to move these messages to a different (official) language code or delete them.
