First, it is ugly as sin. You have absolutely no sense of design or good
coding practices and never will.

Second, things that appear as if they should be "clickable" are not. I
clicked on "K" and nothing happened. I clicked on "1961" (or any other
year) and the right pane still says "A Summer Place."

Third, the <title> says "ab" - what's that suppose to mean?

You should find a new hobby.

Your pathetic opinion has been recycled.

True it does for now.
But clik on any link in the left panel and you will see that change.

Recycled? Oh I see what you mean. You mean I've chosen a description of
your work that so many others have also stated in the past. Hell yes, that
is because it is true.

Oh yeah, I also clicked on "The Archies" and nothing happened.

Whoop-de-do. Still leaves me wondering why you even bother messing with
this stuff. Nobody is ever going to visit your pathetic pages on any kind
of regular basis. I'll bet your total traffic is from a few Usenet posters
when you list a link in your own posts. Most of them have a desire to
laugh at your oh-so-amateur code.

Go right ahead and work ("work!" Ha!) on your silly pages, but stop
bothering real people on Usenet with your silly questions.

-1. His hobby is mostly harmless and no one is obliged to answer a
question just because it's asked. There's a whiff (only a whiff) of
bullying about the almost universal opprobrium with which I am slightly
uncomfortable.

He does post incorrect answers on occasion, but lots of people do that
(myself included) without being told to get a new hobby.

You probably aren't as aware of RtS's history on Usenet as some of the
rest of us - and not just history of his web site activities. This goes
back a long way.

I think I am, but obviously I can't be sure that I know what you are
referring to. But I am having a hard time imagining what history would
alter my current opinion. I would not mind (indeed I'd join in with)
fierce criticism of bad behaviour like racist remarks, but I'd do that
at the time. What is currently being criticised seems to me to be right
down the middle of internet annoyances: he's got an incorrect sense of
what he knows, he asks questions that he should have already learned the
answers to, and he can get angry and rude when that's pointed out. All
these suggest that leaving him alone is a better strategy than baiting
him.

As an aside, I try to answer questions based on the value of the answer.
If I think I can add something, I do, even if the specific poster asking
the question is a troll or some otherwise annoying poster. I say this
only to explain why I've answered someone I am suggesting might be best
ignored -- I mean best ignored unless the reply has it's own value.

His hobby may lead to a compromised server which is used to spread spam,
malware or phishing due to security holes in his scripts.

its not the questions, it the length of time he has been asking the same
terrfyngly newbie questions and ignoring all advice to the point of
painting himself as fundamentally honestly genuinely retarded, or just
an idle programmer who is trolling around irritating people becaus he
had a bad day at the office by inventing a PFY personality.

When someone spends ten years asking you who to tie their shoelaces, it
is fair to say that its probably time they bought some boots.

With Velcro® straps!

(though I suspect RtS would even have trouble with those.)

No, I've been around for some time and I've seen his posts for some time
too, in this and other groups.

Yes, that's annoying, but even the silliest questions can invite answers
that might be useful to others. If not, or you prefer to consider only
the poster you are answering, you can just ignore them.

Not if trying to tie knots is his hobby. Lots of people have silly
hobbies at which they will never be much good. What's bothered me (and
I want to stress that I am only a little bothered -- there's no great
crime here) is the vitriol that is directed at him by almost everyone.
I can't see the point of it.

If you only know him from web authoring groups, I can understand your
point of view. However, RtS has been posting to Usenet for, what, nearly
two decades, and it is a rare case if you find a reply from him that is
not rude in some way or another.

He frequents/ed trucking groups for quite awhile; kook groups; general
interest groups; and more. He has claimed to collect child pornography; he
disses cops all the time; he's clueless about copyright law; he gloated
when his hardworking parents died and left him a seven-figure inheritance
(info he published on his own web site in 2008); and he even won his very
own award back in the last century.

Spend a few moments here, if you wish:

That's because there is no link dumbass.
I have no links on artists names or images.

Really? They are visiting the site.
How long did it take youtube.com to get noticed?
Overnight? No site has ever been put online one day and the next in the
limelight.

Why not?

You must think I didn't know there was no link. It's why I said "things
that appear" to be clickable. Like your alphabet blocks. The page even
says "Select year or letter." Letters *aren't* selectable. Why aren't they
links to alphabetic portions of your little database? Else why even bother
to have them?

Why? Because as I said, you have no sense of design. None at all.

Sure. The few Usenet posters I mentioned. You probably got a dozen or so
hits today!! Why not publish a screenshot of your web stats for the last
30 days? That'll show us.

YouTube: much quicker than your years and years of futzing about with this

I'm obviously kidding. It's obvious bullis would never openly

He was asking in another thread when to use 'include'

So it's possible that he wanted to exclude the part of code that is
responsible for this 'A'-'Z', that is currently not working.

When development of this 'A'-'Z' part is finished (15 years?), he will
only have to uncomment the include statement......

Ineptocracy

(in-ep-toc’-ra-cy) – a system of government where the least capable to
lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the
members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are
rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a
diminishing number of producers.

Because there are no links on the letters.
Does the location "test" mean anything?
I was speaking of the functional part of including a page within an iframe.

See my "new" homepage and you'll get a different look at what I am working
on now.

www.mroldies.net
All links work, but with some, you will see no changes.
And you will kindly note, I ditched the iframe.

Bullshit liar you are.
Who says the URL has to change?
I could have tons of stuff all on one page.
With a little javascrpt, you see it when you click on a link.
I use php include to change what you see.

We all do. Else how is it (the link) supposed to do anything?

You already do, none of which is worthwhile.

No, we don't.

You don't know enough about PHP to make that a true statement. All you
know is copying scripts of others and putting them on ugly pages.
