I have a members only forum that gets at least 50% subscriptions from spam addresses. When I reject them they address gets notified every time and I suspect this "encourages" more fake subscription attempts

Can I stop the rejection notifications or indeed reduce the false attempts before they get to that stage?

Thanks

The following should all help:
* Ensure you're on the latest version (the latest SPAM fighting code)
* Enable Captcha checking in the ACP
* Enable the 'BotScout' plugin
* Enable the 'Stop Forum Spam' plugin
