I have five forums and forum1 is assigned to a mailing list.

1. When synchronising from FUDforum to mailing list, does it sync the discussions from all five forums or only from forum1 or forum2 to 5?

2. From mailing list to FUDforum, does all posts go to forum1?

3. Is it possible not to receive from mailing list but only send to mailing list?

Q1) There is a 1:1 mapping between forums & mailing lists. See "Forum" @ Mailing List Manager.

Q2) Yes, unless you blocked the user, ip on contect from the Control Panel.

Q3) Absolutely, but why would you want to do that?

The questions are related to an idea that the mailing list will only receive forum1 discussions which contains the conclusions of the other forums' discussions, to avoid unrelated chat and comments. As well as from the mailing list. The forum1 is the one-way link between the mailing list and forums.

This is a check list if I do correctly the sync setup and run the maillist.php. At present it hangs up. FUDForum runs in Bluehost server and the mailing list is yahoo groups.

Mailing List E-mail:
mxxxx(at)yahoogroups(dot)com

Forum:
MailingList

Mailbox Server Name:
imap.mail.yahoo.com:993

Mailbox Username:
rxxxx(at)yahoo(dot)com

Mailbox Password:
xxxx

Mailbox Type:
IMAP, SSL mode

Open terminal and enter command:
# ssh <username@domain>
# cd public_html/omw/FUDforum/scripts/
# /usr/bin/php maillist.php 1

Here it hangs up

# cat textfile.txt | /usr/bin/php maillist.php 1
Works fine.
