I have a couple of forums with limited membership - i.e. I disabled the "all registered users" and anonymous options and explicitly added the users I wanted to give access to those forums. In general this is working well.

However, it appears that any member of one of these forums can edit messages posted by any other user. When they do this, the message is displayed as "Edited by Moderator".

Can you reproduce this behavior? If so, I'm thinking this is a bug Sad

Thanks in advance.

The permission edit gives the users the possibility to edit all messages of all users posted in this forum.
Just set it to no.

The sentence "Edited by Moderator" always appears if anybody others than the owner edits the message.

Bye, Mike

Thank you. I (obviously) misunderstood the "Edit" permission. I mistakenly assumed this was the ability to edit one's own posts, not "moderation" rights.
