i want to authenticate to a newsserver.

i can connect with my Outlook Express very well, but with fudforum i get always "newsgroup NTTP Msg: 502 Permission denied"

i checked username and pass serveral times they are ok.
What should i select as AUTHENTICATION METHOD?

There are the following items:

- NONE (ok, no authentication, this point seems clear to me)
- ORIGINAL
- SIMPLE

What is the differnce between ORIGINAL and SIMPLE?
