Has anyone tried to install this on siteground? whether I use zlib or not I just get "?????"

Instead of an install script, can I get the whole thing uncompressed?

I am trying to do this through a Drupal install

OK, installed Wamp and got it to decompress.
Can I ftp it up that way, and what files do I need to alter?

Reading through that, it still doesn't like me! This is like going to a strip club, you see a lot of things you want, you just can't have it!
