Hello everyone,

I'm happy to announce that I'll pay a bounty of $100US to the next two people who completely translate the FUDforum messages for a language that, as of this posting, is below 50% translated.

Frank ( user name is naudefj ) will determine that the language qualified as a starting point and that it has been translated to 100%. He will inform me and I'll send a payment to the appropriate person(s).

If one person can two languages in first then that person will get both bounties.

Cheers,

James.

Some rules:

1. Pick a language that has less than 50% of its messages translated from here (new languages can be added).

2. Translate the remaining messages on the TranslateWiki website (let me know if you need help to get started).

3. When done, announce your claim to the bounty here.

4. The first two valid claims will be awarded US$100.

5. Our decision if final. We will have full discretion to disqualify anyone who in our opinion acts outside the intentions of this bounty.

Best regards.

Frank

We should get the second claim in later today. People are frantically translating as can be seen from TranslateWiki's Recent Changes.

19 Sep: +- 950 new translated messages.
20 Sep: +- 1800 new translated messages.
Today: Already more than 500.

Just wish we could get more money to extend the translation rally...

1. How would we go about getting the money to you?
2. It appears that you and jm2morri have found a partial solution to the issue of encouraging participation (bribery can be a good thing), could that be a viable option for other issues as well?

Yes, the bounty worked exceptionally well.

jm2morri will pay the winners directly. Transferring the money to me will be too expensive w.r.t. bank transfer costs.

The second and last winner is Osama Khalid, who completed the Arabic translation.

Well done guys!
