Since upgrading to 3.0.0 I've noticed that the author field is blank on some posts.

Looking at the raw source of the message it looks like

X-Mail-Rss-Author:

I'm using Mac OS X Leopard Mail as my RSS reader.

Try this one. You should get some messages without an author. At least there are 4 in the last 10 using Mac OS X Leopard Mail.

Looking at the source, the last 10 authors are:

OK, I took the same URL and created a new feed in Mail. Not sure why this is different than the other feed (maybe I hand-edited the URL).

In any case, go down the list and there are messages with a blank author using that URL. Look at Nov 22 messages (just beyond the first 10), there are 3 or 4. And you should see messages with subjects that are truncated as per the other bug as well.

Doesn't really matter. There isn't a single message without an author.

You're right. I just used Thunderbird to pull down the same RSS feed and it worked OK too. So something about Mail doesn't like the feed sometimes. Not a huge deal, maybe the Snow Leopard fixes it ?
