How To Increase Number of Threads in Merge Selection Box? [message #164401]

Pretty much self-explanatory. I have some messages that are quite a ways apart and they are on different pages so they can't be merged. Need to increase the number of selectable threads in that window.

Why not simply go to the admin panel and increase the number of messages shown, instead of 40 try 140 etc, seems like a simple issue. When you are done change it back.

I thought that was the number of threads that are rendered on a normal page.

What I am talking about it the number of threads that are listed in the selection box on the thread merging page.

Maybe the same value is used in both places. I'll check that out...

Yes, it's the same value. Increase "Topics Per Page" in Control Panel -> Account Settings.
The default max is 40 topics per page, but you can increase it from the Global Settings Manager.

BTW: You can select topics over multiple pages by using the "Next Topics" and "Previous Topics" buttons. Whatever you select will remain in view as you page through the results.

Thanks, that worked. Good tip on multi-page merging too, that wasn't obvious to me.
