Setup: FUDforum 3.0.3, converting from phpBB2, which stores messages in database.

Condition: Long messages. post-conversion, located in filesystem are intact. These are Forum topic post messages, not Personal Messages.

To repeat bug:
Set "use database for message storage" to Yes.
Run "Rebuild Messages" to move messages from filesystem to database.

Result: Long messages are truncated.

Note: if I knew how to find the file the messages are in, I would try to determine how long they are so you have an idea of what's going on...

I'm unable to reproduce the problem. What database back end do you use? DB version?

MySQL 5.0.77 using mysqli access.
PHP 5.2.9
Linux 2.6.27.25-78.2.56.fc9.i686

Any way I can figure out which filesystem file the long messages are in, so I can copy one and upload it to you?
