Used my usual bookmark to visit my FUDforum and got this error:

Quote:
Fatal error: SQL error has occurred, please contact the administrator of the forum and have them review the forum's SQL query log in /home/www/FUDforum/include/core.inc on line 260

What does this mean? Which line is 260 and what should I be looking for?

Look in your forum's Error Log Viewer.

I can do that now, but I'm not sure I was able to earlier unless I went in somewhere on the back end. Whatever it was seems to have resolved itself and wasn't affecting other admins either.

Sigh. One of these days I'll understand this forum.

Thanks for your help.

For what it's worth this is the error listed in the Error Log Viewer:

Mon Aug 20 19:15:16 GMT 2012

(/home/www/irnextphase.tikatu.com/fudforum/index.php:29
) 2013: Lost connection to MySQL server at 'reading initial communication packet', system error: 111
Query: Initiating MasterDB mysql_connect
Database version: Unknown
[Referring Page] http://irnextphase.tikatu.com/index.shtml

ETA2: Now I know where to find the error log on the back end, too. That's helpful.

You should rather focus on your database. You're probably using MySQL on an overloaded server that needs some TLC.
