Probably off-topic, but I recon since it has PHP in the name, you guys
might let me slide by? :)
I run EasyPHP as my local WAMP setup and today I tried going to the
website http://www.easyphp.org/ and it is unresponsive. Googling it
brings up a number of site hits that has ads for Cialis, Viagra, etc.
The easyphp.com and .net sites are already those spammy sites that are
just littering the Internet.
So I'm wondering if the site has been hacked or abandoned?
Should I consider a move to another WAMP package?

Yes, one or the other. My own searches doesn't say anything definitive.
According to the Internet Wayback Machine, the last update to their
website was October 28, 2009, at least as far as they could retrieve [1]..
The Internet Wayback Machine's cached version also revealed their Twitter
and Facebook pages [2] [3], both of which haven't been updated much since
their last official release on November 9 this year.
I did, however, manage to find their project page on SourceForge when
looking for "EasyPHP" using Google.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/quickeasyphp/
You might find the latest version (5.3.3.1) there.

It depends. If you feel comfortable using EasyPHP as a development tool,
and it appears to perform its job accurately, then go for it.

Thank you! I saw on the Sourceforge page that at least one user is
still actively committing updates through SVN. Since I have 5.3.3 I'll
stick around and see what shakes out.
It's a nice package and it will be a shame to see it go dark.

Not sure why you are asking, but it is in fact a collection of "stuff" -
PHP, MySQL and Apache, all bundled together in a simple-to-install
package. Just like WAMPServer and several other software bundles out there.
