Hi there,
I am currently evaluating a move from SMF to FUD and did run into a problem with the Migration Assistant ...

------------------------------------------
Simple_Machines to FUDforum conversion

Read Simple_Machines's config...
... reading config file ../forum/Settings.php
Connecting to Simple_Machines's database...
... connected to mysql database db*-*aforum
SQL statement: SELECT * FROM db*-*aforum.smf_settings

MySQL error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '-yashicaforum.smf_settings' at line 1
------------------------------------------

Any clue what might be the reason?
It looks to me as if the "-" in the database name might be the culprit?

Thanks!

Real strange DB name you have there.
You'll have to somehow escape the * characters.

Hi,

the "*"s are of course not part of the DB name ... I only wanted to mask some information.
The only "strange" char in the DB-name is the "-"

I've uploaded an updated migration assistant to sourceforge.net if you want to give it a try.
