Greetings, might be a pretty dumb question but here goes:

Just checked the MySQL version being used on by my web hosting service and it's 3.23.32, I downloaded and unZipped the 3.23.49 version how do I upload it to my server?

Thanks

Hm. Is it a dedicated server? Because unless u re root on the server u probably won't be able to update SQL because the binaries are stored outside of ur account. In this case u will have to ask them whether they want to update the version.
bye Ken

<a dedicated server? >

I'm sure my server isn't dedicated to just my web site. I pay a regular hosting service (prohosting.com). I shot them a e-mail to ask if they will up date to the latest stable version of MySQL. Thanks for the responce!!

Got Torque?

Email your Hosting Provider and ask them to do it for you
