I just thought it would be nice to have the possibility for the administrator to specify an image (with maybe a link) in the top-left corner of the index page.

I know it's already possible (although not immediate) to do this by altering the template, I just thought it would be nice if integrated into the admin panel.

layout changes will only be possible via templates, that's the whole point of having. Adding stuff to header is dead simple anyway...
