The configuration file is called GLOBALS.php and can be found inside the include/ directory.

When you copied the site GLOBALS.php inside the WWW_ROOT and WWW_ROOT/adm (WWW_ROOT being config value) probably because files and not symlinks. You need to delete them and then create symlinks to the GLOBALS.php inside the include directory. once that is done go into the forum's admin control panel and rebuild your theme.
