I tried to upgrade fudforum today to the latest version. The upgrade.php seemed to run, then I was prompted with this :

---start quote
Checking if SQL permissions to perform the upgrade are avaliable
Disable the forum
Forum is now disabled
Beginning the file upgrade process
Begining to decompress the archive
Finished decompressing the archive
File Upgrade Complete
Any changed files were backed up to: "/home/myfudforum/FUDforum/errors/.backup/"

Beginning SQL Upgrades
SQL Upgrades Complete
Adding GLOBAL Variables
Compiling theme default

Executing Consistency Checker (if the popup with the consistency checker failed to appear you MUST click here
PLEASE REMOVE THIS FILE (/home/myfudforum/forum.aberdare.org/upgrade.php) UPON COMPLETION OF THE UPGRADE PROCESS.
THIS IS IMPERATIVE, OTHERWISE ANYONE COULD RUN THIS SCRIPT!
--- end quote

The hyperlink "must click here" above contained only "javascript://" nothing else. Should there be something here ?

I deleted the upgrade.php script and am now unable to log in. Fudforum just keeps prompting with "Temporarily offline; please come back soon!"

Cheers
D

You need to login via the admin interface and run the "consistency checker" it is an admin option. The reason link didn't work is because your browser's pop-up blocker or disabled JavaScript.
