Hello. I have tried installing FUDForum several times and always with errors. I think FUDForum should be easy to install as it isn't.

Warning: gzuncompress() [function.gzuncompress]: data error in /directory/domain.com/fudforum/install.php on line 553
Failed decompressing the archive

I am using PHP 5 and I CHMODED all directories, except the very root directory. Why would I do that? It is a huge security risk. Not any other way to install it? :S

Are you install gzip based on regular installer?
