Text that is posted between spoiler tags is displayed in the results for the message navigator. Seems like it shouldn't be.

It is un-intended and unavoidable consequence of showing snippets of messages that are made by removing all HTML and leaving on the plain text in place.

Hmm. For some reason, text that is inside of "Quote" tags does not appear in the previews.

The quote tag is being explicitly stripped, so that only the NEW text is shown. It'd be rather pointless to show a preview of a message where the preview consists entirely of the text from the previous message. As far as stripping the spoiler tag, often messages don't have much more then the spoiler resulting in an empty preview in that case.

So if I want to strip the spoiler tag in my installation I should clone the code for the quote tag. OK.

Hard to see why people would want to see the spoilers without choosing them, even if it did result in an empty preview.
