Can't Create Poll????? [message #30995]

Hi

I am running 2.6.13

I used to be able to create polls... now I can't. I think I am missing a button or something. Can anyone tell me what I am missing????

Here is an example of what I have....

index.php?t=getfile&id=2426&private=0

When I try to make a poll on my site I can go through all the motions... but when I click the "update button" the add the poll to the message, the window says open and nothing happens. Confused

That's a JavaScript error, what browser are you using and are you experiencing the same problem on this forum?

I only have the error on my site... it works fine on this one.

I get the same problem on Safari on OSX and IE on WIN XP.

Seems to be a permissions problem.

The error is probably not forum related, what kind of customization do you have in your forum and what version of the forum are you using?

Forum version 2.6.13

I had everything working on my old server (even polls). I had to migrate to a new server.

I did the install and updated my old datadump.

I changed the header, footer and CSS.

Make sure that lib.js is web accessible and try to upgrade your forum, the latter is the most likely fix.

I just noticed that if I try to add a smily from the "list of smilies" pop up window I can't insert the smilies.

I am starting to recall a problem I had last year with this. I think I was missing a line of code in my header.

Maybe I am missing something again?

I just checked my avatar pop open window and it doesn't work properly either.

The window pops open with the avatars but when I click on the avatar nothing happens. I am pretty sure I testing this when I did the fresh install.

any thoughts?

I check the lib.js file. It seems just fine.

I updated from 2.6.13 to 2.6.14

Same problem. Any other ideas?

If majority of the forum's JavaScript does not work, the problem can probably be traced to lib.js. Have you tried loading the file via a browser to see if it can be accessed? Also, check the html source of the generated page to see if lib.js is being included in the header.

The lib.js can be loaded online no problem.

The code is in the header of the page too!
