Ahhh, this is a feature and not a bug. I will increase the "Moved Topic Pointer Expiry" setting on my forum.

If you use the "move" link located inside and at the top of a thread, the green 'moved' bar is not shown for that thread.

Using the 'Moderator Options: Move' command in the list of threads does produce the green 'moved' bar.
