My server does not allow email SMTP setup. The inbuilt php.ini works fine to send notifications to the administrator's email address (myzzz(at)zzzdomain(dot)org). But does not work for forum users' post notifications e.g. when someone replies on their post.

What's the setup difference between admin and user notification? If there is a difference, can the two be merged to use the same script/setup?
