and the one big thing that you have done is introduce "noise" into the message time-line by inserting the poster's info before each individual message. That is what the "noise in message" caption is all about.

You didn't understand the "noise" you introduced into the front page by moving the moderator's info to a line underneath the forum names.

And you didn't understand the "noise" that you introduced in the topic page by moving the poster's info underneath the message ( see the before and after images below ) .

And you don't see that the poster's info interupts the flow of messages. It what the commuincation folks call "noise" because it detracts from the messages.

You don't understand the concept of "noise in the message" nor will you ever understand its impact. And you will never concede that it exists. All you see is "Look how neat things are now - I've eliminated all of that wasted space on the left." I don't pretend to understand much about it myself. But I know good and bad design when I see it. That is why I don't like this non-standard presentation. And unfortunately, the design "issues" have taken there toll on popularity FUDForum.
