I looked all through the database and didn't see any message content for my two forums, which are backed with NNTP newsgroups. Going through /var/FUDforum/messages/msg_40000 it looks like the actual content of the message is in this and similar files.

So, message content isn't directly in the database?

Maybe you have left the setting "Use database for message storage" to "NO" (the default)?

"If enabled, regular and private messages will be stored inside the database. If disabled, they will be stored in files on disk. For performance reasons we recommend you keep it disabled, especially on large forums!"

I found the setting at http://localhost/fudforum/adm/admglobal.php

and will try that out Smile
