I get a "System Administrator has disabled this function" message for any RDF feed unless I'm allowing users to be syndicated as well, regardless of the "mode" I'm passing.

Did you install a fresh 2.5.0RC2 or did you upgrade from prior 2.5.0 pre-release?

More of a feature request, but is there any way to have it do a mode where it produces <link> tags, so that auto RSS readers can use it without external parsing? I guess this really only makes sense for the "message" mode.

I guess so, I'll look into adding a 'basic' flag to allow for such output in message & possibly topic mode.
