I keep getting the following message whenever someone tries to register their e-mail. I know the e-mail addresses are right, because I even tried mine and it still did it.
"The e-mail address you have specified does not appear to be valid."

Please meet me on IRC if you can, I'll see what I can to solve this problem. I cannot seem to replicate it myself here.

yeah, the only problem would be that they would be able to enter and invalid email address.

DPitts18 wrote on Thu, 21 March 2002 2:42 PM | I figured out how to edit the script and got it so it ignores the e-mail checker and people can now register, but the time on the board is still wrong. How can I fix that? I made the time my time zone in the admin board and my profile, but the board still lists it 4 hours in adavance.

Can you paste me the time from the curtime, shown at the bottom of the front page.

It means it thinks it is inside Eastern TimeZone.
Change the timezone to Pacific timezone in your personal settings and then see if the timezone in the string changes.

I switched it to Pacific and now it says: Current Time: Thu Mar 21 7:00:53 EST 2002
