Where are saved Source of images like flat_view.gif?

I use own images and after rebuilding theme i see original images...

There are no xcf source images for the russian translation, you could get the english xcf sources by running the following CVS command:

cvs -z3 -d :pserver:anonymous(at)asuka(dot)prohost(dot)org:/forum21checkout img/english

To modify the 'source' gif files, simply copy your new images into:
i18n/language/img/ directory.
