2.5.0RC5

1. In forum settings default view set to "tree", in user profile - the same. BUT every time user opens a forum he can see posts in "flat" view first.

2. After switching from "flat" to "tree" info about "new" posts gone.

I'll look into the tree/flat view problem (need to verify it with RC6).

As far as the read status, that's actually intended behaviour, when you load a page with messages all messages on that page get marked read. So if your topic has only 1 page worth of messages and you view it twice on the 2nd viewing there will no longer be any new/unread messages in that topic.

Oh, I see. Now it's clear about read status. Thank you.

The tree view issue was indeed a bug and I fixed it a few moments ago in the CVS.

I've also noticed that somehow now I (and user as well) have only two options for setting default view, rather than 4. Though in Db itself I still can edit this field for every user with 4 options. Shocked

That's because the other 2 options are not avaliable because you do not allow threaded topic view in the forum. Once you enable it, users will have 2 additional options regarding the default view in their profiles.

But I actually have only two options even in my admin panel.
And the default value is set to "tree".

And, BTW, how to get a "tree view" button available while showing all forum topics, the way you have it here?

Like I said before, you need to turn on threaded topic viewing via the admin control panel. This is the "Allow Tree View of Thread Listing" option.
