I can't get the URL avatar to keep in the profile. Every time I set the url, the profile saves as normal, but nothing apppears in the approve queue. I saw a similar bug report of 1.2.1. Could this be the same bug?

Few questions:
1) Which version of the forum you are running?
2) When you go to the profile again, do you see the URL to the avatar in the avatar option or does it get lost?

2) The url is there when I edit the profile, its just not appearing in my approve list, nor is it appearing in the user's posts.

Fixed in latest CVS.
If you want a fix for this bug, grab register.php from FUDforum's CVS and replace yours with it.

There are instructions on how to get files from CVS in the development thread.
if you need the CVS program itself, just search on fresmeat, on windows you want to get WinCVS.
