All seems to work great for registered users but if a non registered user tries to create or reply to a thread an ugly error messages comes up and reads:

Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in /home/www/zonum3/index.php(415) : eval()'d code on line 1

Parse error: parse error in /home/www/zonum3/index.php(415) : eval()'d code on line 1

here is a url example http://www.zonum3.com/index.php?t=error&rid=&S=e2215e8ca2be42a85ac6 8268f74f4ae6&err_id=97c67ea947f690338fa7ffc6a4e0d39a

I'm guessing there are some permissions that need to be set in a directory but which one and what?

It has happened both times I tried to reply to a thread or post a new thread without loggin in.

The problem seems to be consistent. Had my wife try from a different computer and the same error message.

hrm... I would recommend upgrading to FUDforum 2.5.0 (latest stable release).
