I want to feed CVS loginfo messages into a forum for archiving, but I don't want each commit in its own topic, but one topic per day & all commits as replies to that, but with different subjects.

I tried to use Message-Id: and In-Reply-To: headers with made-up values to do this, but it turns out you need <> delimters.

The only other "email" headers you need to fake are From: and Subject:. From: needs a domain name, but it's ignored.

Example:

message 1

From: morgan@doesntmatter
Subject: first subject
Message-ID: <073003>

this is the message

----------

message 2

From: anotheruser@alsodoesntmatter
Subject: secondsubject
In-Reply-To: <073003>
Message-ID: <073003-1>

this is another message that will appear in the same topic as the first one.
