I've just upgraded to 2.5.2, added two users and two new forums.

I'm now getting the following error when opening the main forum page:

Looks like a permissions error, check the permissions of the files mentioned in the error message and make sure has the ability to read those files.

The files are ok.

Look at the path. It's not correct:

 ....   /home/virtual/site210/fst/var/www/forum_data/include/theme//err.inc


It misses a directory name???

The double // is not a problem is perfectly valid, there are no missing directory names.

I do not understand Prottoss?
Within 'theme' there is a directory names: 'default'
The files that can not be accessed are located within this 'default' directory?

See also below

bash-2.05$ pwd
/var/www/forum_data

bash-2.05$ ls include/theme//err*
ls: include/theme//err*: No such file or directory

bash-2.05$ ls include/theme/default/err*
include/theme/default/err.inc  include/theme/default/errmsg.inc


I've also checked the permissions, but that seems OK. See below:

-rw-rw-rw-    1 48       48           4091 Aug 21 16:21 err.inc


Same for the index.php file.

Any idea Prottoss?

I've just noticed (by e-mail notification) that someone else posted a message on the forum. (Even while I'm not able to start the forum at all.)
I have the feeling that this person still has an active cookie and therefor can open the forum????

Any idea what this could be????

Prottos,

I just tried to open the forum from an other machine that still had an active cookie. The forum opened correctly and I was still logged in.
I'm not able to open the forum from any other browser that does not yet have a cookie available from a previous session.
This all happened after installing 2.5.2.

Can you access the administration control panels? If so try to rebuild your theme, that may resolve the problem.

Prottoss,

I've been able to upgrade to the latest release. (On computer still had an active 'login' cookie, so I could upload the upgrade.php file (safe-mode))
After running the upgrade, the problem was solved.

I am trying to make it so that the upgrade script can work as a 'rescue' script as well and fortunately in your case that code did what it was supposed to Smile.
