Merging threads? [message #14306] |

Would it be possible to please add thread merging functionality for Moderators to the next release?
Often, there will be one thread on a topic and then a user will create a new thread on the same topic. It would be nice if Moderators could just merge the two threads together, as is available in vBulletin :)
Also, related to this, would there be the possibility of a more advanced merge option, whereby Moderators can mark selected posts within a thread for moving to ('merging into') another thread? For example, when in 'merge mode' they could mark a checkbox next to each post they want to move and then enter the URL of the thread to merge these into. I don't think this option is available in vBulletin so it would give you a competitive advantage ;)
Thanks :)

We are running 2.5.2 final release but I can't see it in the Moderator options. I can see the split topic options within the thread view itself, and the move and delete options in the forum view. Where is it please?
