I'm switching webhosts and decided to upgrade the FUDforum. I was on version 2.3.8 and installed 2.6.0 on the new webhost. After I installed 2.6, I tried adding users, topics, replied to topics and all was working fine. After that, I did a data dump from the 2.3.8 version and tried to import it into the 2.6 version. I got this message:

Quote:

(admimport.php:166 ) 1146: Table 'victorm_forum.fud26_ses' doesn't exist
Query: DELETE FROM fud26_ses
Server Version: 3.23.54

After this, the forum's home page in the new forum displays a blank page.

Any ideas?

You cannot import data from older forums in 2.6.0, moving between forum versions should ONLY be done with an upgrade script.

Thanks Ilia.

OK, I installed 2.3.8 at the new host and imported the data. All my data is there fine (I had to manually bring over avatars, but that was minor). I performed several functions, viewed registered users, etc. and all seems fine.

So then I tried to upgrade to 2.6.0 by using the upgrade.php script. I uploaded it to my server root server, chmod'ed the server and upgrade.php to 777, and ran it. I get the authenticate screen for the admin username and password. After I enter both and click Authenticate, nothing happens. Within half a second I get a browser status of Done.

What did I miss?

Hm... try deleting all data from the ses table and re-trying to login.

This is a MySQL table used to store forum sessions. It's full name is "[your_table_prefix]ses"
