Hi @ll,

i use Fud 2.5.3RC3 at a linux-box; apache 1.3.20; mod_php 4.3.4 & mysql 3.23.54.

Somtimes Fud seems to crash and the webserver-log contains the message "[notice] child pid 5662 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)".
There are no aditional information in the logfiles or at the fud-error-log. If the user makes a reload of the Page it works.

any ideas ?

regards,
brian

This is Apache crashing not the forum crashing. Apache crashes are bugs in Apache or possibly PHP and in no way related to the forum. That said you are using rather dated version of Apache which has a few security faults. Upgrading to Apache 1.3.29 is definately a good idea.

Hi Ilia,

i was trying apache 1.3.20, 1.3.26 and 1.3.29 with several php-builds and on three different servers. all other LAMP-Aplications are still runing perfekt and normal without any problems. therefor i guess it may be a fud-problem Wink

so long,

brian

It cannot be a FUD problem, because any SAPI crash is the result of a bug in the SAPI or PHP. Forum's code cannot cause a crash.
