Text color isn't specified for a lot of text. Try changing the default(default, not overriding) text color in your browser to "pink" to see.

By default, black (default browser text color) is used for all text. If you want to change it add color: color_name; to the "text" CSS element.

It just bugs me when sites specify colors for some components, and leave others out.

Yahoo! has the reverse of this problem. It specifies the text colors, but neglects to set the background color, assuming that all browsers have the default background color set to maximum(ffffff) white.

I see your point I'll the default (black) color for the text. That should take care of the problem on browsers with alternate backgrounds.
